2026 Erie County Parks Photo Contest Official Rules

No purchase necessary to enter or win.
Who is eligible: Legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C., and are at least 18 years of age and of the age of majority or older in the state of their residence at the time of entry.
Who is not eligible: Employees of the participating agencies, sponsors, and their family members are not eligible to win prizes.
Photos must be your own and not taken by somebody other than you. Your submission of the entry is your guarantee that you are the author, sole owner, and copyright holder of the photo.
All submitted photographs must be taken on Erie County Park property. Contest entries are accepted until July 31, 2026, 11:59pm ET. A panel of judges will review submissions based on the following criteria: originality, artistic composition, technical quality, and whether the photograph showcases The Power of...in Erie County Parks. Winner will be contacted by phone or email by September 15, 2026.
No major digital enhancements, alterations, or AI generated images will be accepted. Please do not include any watermarks, date stamps, borders, writing, or quotes on photos.
By entering this contest, each entrant agrees to allow Erie County Parks to use their photograph and/or name in any Parks Department publication, advertisement, or merchandise without further notice or compensation. Erie County Parks may edit, alter, publish, or use any submitted photograph at their sole discretion, giving credit to the photographer where possible. The entrant still retains the right to use and publish their photograph.
Erie County Parks reserves the right to reject any photograph if it is low quality, deemed as containing objectionable or questionable content, or is not relevant.
One grand prize consisting of one gallon of maple syrup and various Erie County Parks branded merchandise, valued at approximately $100. Additional prizes will be awarded in each category, consisting of various Erie County Parks branded merchandise, valued at approximately $50.
