Come Join a Park Ranger and learn how to fish! This fishing program will teach young park users and their parents/guardians the basics of fishing! Learn how to cast, bait a hook, set the hook, safe handling, and fish identification! Don’t have fishing gear? The Rangers will have a limited number of rods and reels available for kids to use, as well as bait (worms and corn). This program has received an exemption from the NYSDEC, and all kids and parents/guardians registered for the program will qualify for free fishing (no fishing license required) for the duration of the program. Any cancellations related to weather will be communicated through your provided contact information.

- Equipment Needed: We strongly encourage everyone to bring their own fishing rods and reel. Park Rangers have approximately 15 rods and reels that may be used for those who do not have their own gear
