Learn about native plants, discover how to make a pollinator-friendly habitat, and what you can do to help our native pollinators! Featuring fun nature walks, mead tastings, informational workshops, get your face painted, and food vendors all supporting and encouraging you to start your very own pollinator-friendly garden!

Join Ranger Nikki at Erie County Parks second annual Pollinator Festival and learn all about native plants and bees and their importance to our lives! Ranger Nikki will be leading a short wildflower hike at the start of the Pollinator Festival that will take you through a wonderland of blooming native flowers! Once we finish our hike join in the fun of the festival and check out the different vendors and workshops available.
12:00 PM: Workshop: Native Plants that Attract Beneficial Insects as part of an Integrated Pest Management Approach to Organic Gardening Registration
Speaker - Sylvin Ashbrook from Grassroots Gardens WNY
Topic: Come and learn about the various native plants that you can plant in your home garden to attract a wide range of pollinators and beneficial predatory insects.
Speakers - Erie County Bureau of Forestry, WNY Land Conservancy, Silo City and Wild Ones WNY
Topic: How private and public land including parks, conservation parcels, and gardens are managed to increase native species and protect pollinators.
